US Vice President Kamala Harris has said that the 25 lakh women who have left the American workforce since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic constituted a "national emergency". Harris added that the issue could be addressed with the Biden administration's $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief plan. "Our economy cannot fully recover unless women can participate fully," she further said.
