26 dams hit zero water storage level in Maharashtra

Twenty-six dams in Maharashtra have reached 'zero storage' level as on May 18, figures provided by the state water conservation department revealed. The affected areas include the Aurangabad Division, as well as some dams in the Nagpur Division, Jalgaon and Pune. Water storage in Maharashtra's 103 large, medium and small reservoirs stood at 11.84%, as compared to 23.73% last year.
