Karnataka transport department authorities have taken action against autorickshaws in Bengaluru for overcharging amid a ban on bike taxis. In a crackdown, the authorities have registered 260 cases and seized 98 vehicles in Bengaluru. Earlier, Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy directed the authorities to take strict action against autorickshaws that charge fares above the government-fixed rates.
