India recorded 265.52 million malware detections between October 2024 and September 2025, highlighting a surge in software supply chain cyberattacks, according to Seqrite's India Cyber Threat Report 2026. The report, based on 8 million endpoints, shows hackers increasingly exploiting trusted vendors to infiltrate networks. BFSI, healthcare and manufacturing accounted for 47% of detections.
