27-year-old dies after car plunges into Alappuzha canal

A 27-year-old man, Shintu, died after his car skidded off a panchayat road and plunged into Powvath canal in Kainakary, Alappuzha, around 8 pm on Sunday. Locals struggled to pull the vehicle out of the deep water. His body was shifted to Alappuzha General Hospital. He leaves behind his wife and seven-month-old daughter.
