289 passengers caught without tickets in three-hour check

Railway officials caught 289 passengers travelling without tickets during a surprise check at Ernakulam Town Railway Station. The Thiruvananthapuram Division Ticket Checking Squad conducted the drive on September 27 from 4 PM to 7 PM. Officials collected ₹1,75,489 in fines from the ticketless passengers during the three-hour operation.
