An explosion followed by a stampede killed at least 29 schoolchildren and injured over 250 at Barthelemy Boganda High School in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic. The blast occurred when power was being restored to an electrical transformer on the premises. Around 5,000 students were present in the school for their exams at the time.
