The government has intensified its fight against misinformation through the PIB Fact Check Unit, which has issued over 2,900 fact-checks on fake content related to the Centre. It tackles deepfakes, forged documents, and fraudulent websites while promoting public reporting. During Operation Sindoor, it blocked 1,400 URLs, supported by a regulatory framework ensuring digital accountability.
