Cryptocurrency exchange FTX, founded by 29-year-old billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried, announced that it has closed a $900 million fundraise, which saw investors like SoftBank and Sequoia Capital, at a valuation of $18 billion. This is the largest private equity round in the crypto industry's history. As per Forbes, the fundraise is likely to boost Bankman-Fried's net worth by nearly $8 billion.
