Around 3,000 A320-family planes were in the air when Airbus issued a recall affecting more than 6,000 aircraft. Airlines from US, South America, Europe, India and New Zealand warned that the repairs could potentially cause flight delays or cancellation. Airbus said that replacing the software will take "a few hours" on most planes.
