3 dead as boat capsizes in Assam's Lakhimpur

Three people, including a 10-year-old boy, drowned after a country boat capsized in Assam's Lakhimpur district on Sunday. The trio — Ajit Dutta, Podma Dutta, and Midhusmi Dutta — were crossing the Merbil River with goats when strong currents overturned the boat. None of the victims knew how to swim. All three were declared dead on arrival.
