An overhead water tank collapsed on the platform of West Bengal's Bardhaman railway station on Wednesday in which three people were killed and over 30 sustained injuries. The metal water tank collapsed when several passengers were waiting for a local train. Railways announced ₹5 lakh compensation to kin of each deceased and ₹50,000 compensation to seriously injured.
