Three of the first five presidents of the USA died on July 4, which is celebrated as the country's Independence Day since 1776. These leaders were John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Monroe, who served as USA's second, third and fifth president, respectively. Also, Adams and Jefferson died on the same day in 1826, which marked USA's 50th Independence Day.
