Unions of three state-owned power firms have called off their strike against privatisation of Maharashtra's electricity distribution sector following government's assurance that the sector won't be privatised. The government had no intention of privatising the sector, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis said. The strike had been called after an Adani Group firm sought a power distribution license.
