A three-year-old girl suffering from brain tumour died after her parents initiated her into Jain religious practice of fasting unto death as advised by a spiritual leader in MP's Indore. On March 21, during a visit to spiritual leader Rajesh Muni Maharaj, the girl was administered 'Santhara'. "With our consent, the 'Santhara' was done...and 10 minutes later...[she]...died," her mother said.
