Police registered a case against nine people, including two sarpanches, after around 300 dogs were allegedly killed with lethal injections in Telangana's Hanamkonda district. The sarpanches and gram panchayat secretaries are accused of hiring people to poison the dogs and dump their carcasses on the outskirts of the villages. The dogs were allegedly killed over three days, from January 6.
