32% organisations prefer AI coding agents over buying software: Study

Organisations are increasingly using agentic coding tools to build software in-house instead of purchasing it, Mint reported, citing a McKinsey study. Nearly 32% of respondents said their organisations had opted against buying software because they could build them internally using such tools. Technology companies led the shift at 41%, followed by healthcare payers and providers at 39%.
