Over 34% of families in Bihar survive on ₹6,000 per month or less income and are kept under the poor category, according to caste survey data tabled by state government in Assembly today. As per the data, 42% of SC/ST households live in poverty. Over 33% of families from Backward and Extremely Backward Classes have also been categorised as poor.
