35% voters in Mumbai face deletion from draft electoral roll after SIR

Over 36.59 lakh voters in Mumbai and its suburbs are set to be deleted from Maharashtra's draft electoral roll to be published on August 24. They account for 35.24% of the total electorate of 1.038 crore in these places. This comes as nearly 2.08 crore or 21.25% voters are facing potential deletion after SIR in Maharashtra as a whole.
