36-year-old IBM engineer dies after completing marathon, receiving medal in Hyderabad

A 36-year-old IBM software engineer, Kommineni Gopi, died after suddenly collapsing shortly after completing a marathon at Hyderabad's Gachibowli Stadium on Sunday morning. Police said he had collected his medal and was heading for breakfast when he collapsed. Organisers immediately rushed him to a nearby private hospital, where he was declared dead at around 8.45 am.
