38% of all crashes in Mumbai are hit-and-run cases: Report

According to Mumbai's traffic police report, hit-and-run cases accounted for 38% of all crashes in 2023, with 54% of victims being pedestrians. A total of 374 people were killed in 351 crashes, which is a 39% decrease since 2015. Men accounted for 82% of the deaths. Most deaths were reported on Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marg.
