According to reports, over 3.8 lakh children under the age of five die annually due to pneumonia, Union Health Minister JP Nadda said on Wednesday. This accounts for around 23% of total under-five deaths in the country, he added. India also tops a list of 15 countries in terms of total under-five deaths due to pneumonia, Nadda further said.
