India on Monday successfully test-fired its nuclear-capable surface-to-surface Prithvi-II missile having a strike range of 350 km from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur, Odisha. The indigenously developed ballistic missile, the first to be developed by DRDO under India's prestigious Integrated Guided Missile Development Program, is capable of carrying 500-1000 kg of warheads.
