4.6 magnitude earthquake hits Iran's capital Tehran

An earthquake of 4.6 magnitude was reported in Iran's capital, Tehran on Tuesday, the country's state media said. The earthquake hit at a depth of 10 kilometres, with tremors felt in the border areas between Tehran and Mazandaran, state broadcaster IRIB reported. Red Crescent forces in the nearby region were put on alert; no casualties or material damage was reported.
