4-cm kidney stone during pregnancy treated after delivery

A 27-year-old pregnant woman with a nearly 4-cm staghorn kidney stone was closely monitored as she remained stable during pregnancy. She delivered a healthy baby by Caesarean section. Six weeks later, doctors performed percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) to remove the stone successfully. Dr Deepak Ragoori said treatment timing depends on the mother's and baby's condition.
