At least 22 people were killed and several others injured in a stampede during the Godavari Pushkaram festival in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. The incident occurred when a large number of pilgrims rushed towards one of the gates at the Kotagummam Pushkar ghat on the banks of Godavari to take the holy dip. Medical teams were rushed to the spot.
