Four people were killed in an accident near Banakal in Mudigere taluk on Saturday. A lorry collided with a van, and the car behind it hit the van. Four of the occupants of the van and car died, they were travelling from Dharmasthala to Holalkere. The lorry was going from Mudigere to Kottigehara.
