A group of four women priestesses will perform the entire Durga Puja rituals at Kolkata’s 66 Pally Puja pandal. “Being a woman cannot be the criteria for not appointing them. Don't women make all the arrangements for conducting puja rituals in the household...if there can be women organisers, why not women priestesses?" said a puja committee official.
