45.6% report concussion symptoms one year later: Study
A Curtin study of 232 adults found 45.6% had concussion symptoms 12 months later. Severe early symptoms, mental health history, sleep disorders and non-sport injuries raised the risk of lasting problems. Loss of consciousness, amnesia and CT scans did not predict recovery. Researchers said early risk checks could guide closer follow-up and care at once.
