As many as 45 Google employees reportedly faced retaliation after they complained to Human Resources on issues like workplace harassment and unethical work culture. They alleged retaliation in forms of demotion, being pushed out and negative reviews, Recode reported. In 2018, 20,000 employees held a walkout protest against Google's handling of sexual harassment accusations against top executives.
