Kami Rita, a 48-year-old Nepalese Sherpa scaled Mount Everest on Wednesday for the 22nd time, setting a record for the most successful climbs of the world's highest mountain. Kami, who had first scaled the 29,029-foot peak at the age of 24, beat the previous record of 21 ascents jointly held by himself, and Sherpas 58-year-old Apa and 47-year-old Phurba Tashi.
