As many as 49 medicines failed quality tests in September, Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) said. Metformin manufactured by Swiss Biotech Parentrals, Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 250 IU tablets manufactured by Lifemax Cancer Laboratories are among the medicines failing the tests. Paracetamol tablets produced by Karnataka Antibiotics & Pharmaceuticals also feature on the list.
