Australia Women opener Beth Mooney has been named Gujarat Giants' captain for the inaugural season of the Women's Premier League. Mooney has been part of the Australian team that won the T20 World Cup in 2018, 2020 and 2023 along with the Women's ODI World Cup in 2022. The 29-year-old has also won the Women's Big Bash League three times.
