5,000 pilgrims carry 12 tons of plastic waste from Kedarnath
Around 5,000 Kedarnath pilgrims participated in the 'Carry Me Back' campaign, hauling over 12 tons of compressed plastic waste down to Gaurikund. Volunteers from Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and other states joined in. Notable participants included Madan Lal, an amputee, and Ankita Singh, who carried 8kg of plastic. Social media amplified the initiative.
