At least 5 people were killed after car fell into a gorge near Sabdarkhal on Devprayag-Pauri road in Uttarakhand's Pauri Garhwal. Locals reached the spot after learning about the accident and alerted police. The Police and the State Disaster Response Force braved a 200-metre steep drop to retrieve five bodies and rescue one injured child.
