50,000 gallons of water used to put out Tesla Semi fire: US NTSB

A report by the US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said 50,000 gallons (1,90,000 litres) of water was used to douse a flaming battery of a Tesla Semi electric truck last month. The lithium-ion battery caught fire after the truck got involved in a single-vehicle collision. An aircraft was also used to apply fire retardant as a precautionary measure.
