50% ownership of Domino's Pizza was once traded for used car
Domino's Pizza Co-founder James Monaghan in 1961 traded his 50% stake in the company to his brother and Co-founder Tom Monaghan for his used Volkswagen Beetle car. Nearly 38 years later, Tom Monaghan went on to sell his 93% stake in the company for $1 billion. Notably, Volkswagen was founded on May 28, 1937.
