500 people held over violence that led to 163 deaths in Bangladesh
More than 500 people have been arrested in Dhaka over violence in Bangladesh. Furthermore, 163 people lost their lives since students started protesting against civil service hiring rules, police said Monday. Notably, Bangladesh's Supreme Court scaled back the job quota that reserved 30% posts for family members of veterans of 1971 war for independence following the massive protests.
