Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa escaped injury after his motorcade was surrounded by a mob of around 500 people, who threw stones at it. Environment and Energy Minister Ines Manzano filed a formal complaint of an assassination attempt on the President after the incident. "Such attacks will not be accepted in new Ecuador and the law applies to everyone," Noboa said.
