51 rescued in Arunachal child trafficking racket

Namsai Police in Arunachal Pradesh rescued 51 people, including 47 children, in a child trafficking case registered on August 17. Five facilitators have been arrested. The network targeted vulnerable families with false promises of education, placing children as domestic help or hotel workers for ₹10,000–₹50,000 per child. Inter-state operations spanned Assam and multiple Arunachal districts.
