On Sunday, at the inauguration of 1459th branch of Vijaya Bank in Thayamangalam, Finance Minister P Chidambaram said that banks would disburse 7.5 lakh crore rupees as agriculture loan with only 7% interest in this fiscal year. Moreover, those who repay loans will be given a 4% interest subvention. He urged farmers to avail loans at cheap rates.
