55-yr-old priest dies due to brain bleed in TN, family alleges police assault

A 55-year-old priest from Tamil Nadu's Madurai, Paramasivam, died on August 15 after suffering a brain bleed. His family alleged that police assaulted him after he was taken to Chinthamani station following a parking dispute on July 17. Madras High Court ordered a judicial inquiry and a postmortem. Police said the priest died after an accidental fall at his home.
