Gurunath Waman Lasne, the vice-president of the BJP unit in Maharashtra's Thane, died at the age of 55 after his car was hit by a speeding private bus on Monday. The bus reportedly hit a pothole before colliding with the vehicle carrying Lasne. The police have registered a case and launched a search for the bus driver, who is absconding.
