The 56th meeting of the GST Council, headed by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, will be held on September 3 and 4, the council's secretary informed. An Officers' meeting will be held on September 2. The agenda of both will be communicated later. This will be the council's first meeting after PM Narendra Modi announced next-generation GST reforms on August 15.
