5,700-year-old human remains studied to create world's oldest family tree in UK
short by Sakshita Khosla / on Saturday, 25 December, 2021
Scientists have presented what is being called the "world's oldest family tree" by conducting archaeological and genetic analyses of human bones and teeth collected from a 5,700-year-old tomb in the UK. Thirty-five people from five continuous generations of one extended family were buried in the tomb. Most of them descended from four women who were married to the same man.
