London police officials have confirmed that 58 people who were in Grenfell Tower during the fire are missing and presumed dead. Notably, the Grenfell Action Group residents' association had warned about the fire safety risks linked to the 24-storey tower. However, councillors and the tower's landlords ignored the warnings and sent a lawyer to threaten the complainers.
