Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during her Union Budget 2022-23 presentation said that the 5G spectrum auction will be held in 2022 to roll out the 5G network in the country within 2022-23 by private players. "A scheme for design-led manufacturing will be launched to build a strong ecosystem for 5G as part of the Production Linked Incentive Scheme," she said.
