A survey showed that around 6 in 10 Indians say they may stop buying gold after PM Narendra Modi's appeal. As per the survey, 61% of gold buyers are willing to avoid purchases, while some still plan to buy only for weddings or see gold as safe investment. PM's appeal was aimed at reducing pressure on India's foreign exchange reserves.
