A six-year-old boy was blinded permanently after a stick his teacher threw hit his eye last year in Karnataka's Chikkaballapur. The teacher had thrown the stick to try and control the classroom. The boy's condition didn't improve despite undergoing two surgeries, following which his parents consulted a private hospital, where he was told he'd lost vision in right eye.
