68-year-old kidney transplant patient gets zero-contrast TAVR

Apollo Hospitals, Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru, performed zero-contrast TAVR on a 68-year-old kidney transplant recipient with severe aortic stenosis. Using MRI, vascular ultrasound and fluoroscopy, doctors replaced the diseased valve without iodinated contrast, protecting the transplanted kidney. The patient's renal function remained stable, breathing improved, and he walked the next day.
